GT3 Touring in dark green with a manual box and silver wheels and cream/beige interior, with wood accents. Ultimate mature gentleman specTouring>*
OR just get a 991.2GT3 and strip the wing off, maybe even get a nice ducktail.

With an F90 and a 4C, only porsche worth getting is a recent year GT3, Turbo S though - pretty much meaning an extra R2M minimum over the 4C. Heavy pill that. Diminishing returns as an old 2016 Carrera GTS or something like that wouldn't be a real upgrade versus the 4C I would think?I blame you guys for winding up at Porsche this weekend: This is a helluva choice... newer 6MT specced as a GT3 should be (except for the colour LOL) or Older RS with Weissach pack & PDK for nearly the same money

I like a Porsche in wild colours (purples, golds, bright green) or in more staid colours (blues, deep green). Also depends on the Porsche itself, feel like a GT3RS in a stupid lurid orange makes perfect sense. A 911S in a lurid green would look ridiculous!@Neven (who may or may not want to also share some information) and I were debating the colour this weekend @Nick . I am all for crazy colours. Lambos almost NEED to be green (or purple/yellow/orange) for me.
Porsche in Guard's Red or Lava Orange would do it. There was a lovely Purple GT3 (not for sale though - probably waiting for a customer to pick it up... though it was there for weeks)
Ferraris in Red/Yellow/White/Blue (who am I kidding... pretty much anything)
I feel like greys/silvers are for guys who care about resale value or somehow think they are not standing out if the car is painted in a muted tone.
eg: Yes look at how low key I am guys: I may as well be in a Yaris

I'd agree, if the price delta between 4.0GTS and GT4 was bigger I'd have gotten a 4.0GTS manual gladly. At the time I ordered the delta was like R200k. Given the rarity and the (IMHO) cooler looks of the GT4 it made sense to me.My view - 718 GT4 4.0 manual would be best bang (pure driver enjoyment for 99% of real world drivers) for buck, in terms of brand new Porsches.
GT4 RS is great, but price point is insane.
@TBP88 may agree...
Interesting view

For lambos/ferrari I almost exclusively like plain colours, silver, white, dark blues etc. It's an insane car that will draw attention even if you painted it in vantablack, so having it "stealth" just looks classier.

I even considered a spyder very seriously but the silliness of the roof turned me off.
But yeah, I'd imagine a GTS is 95% of the thrills and substantially more practical (extra 20mm ride height, front PDC, softer suspension). Might be a bargain in a few years if they depreciate nicely!
Overall though no complaints, I was on a run with a GT4RS and can confirm it's bonkers fast in well equipped hands. I don't love the look and the price is utterly absurd (it's basically $-$ for a 992GT3!). I actually think (the lovely air intake aside) that the GT4 looks cooler, that swan neck spoiler does nothing for me.
In terms of value for money at the stupidity end of the car spectrum the best is probably a 991.1GT3RS, you can likely get one for R3m flat, maybe a high miler for R2.7ish levels?

Porsche 911 GT3 RS for sale in Sandton - ID: 27508645
Used 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS For Sale - R 2 995 000 - ID: 27508645www.autotrader.co.za
Nice spec here too.
You also have an M5! Then a stupid roof is fun.If I had to buy a Cayman it would 110% be the spyder. I absolutely love it... and the crazy roof!
(also I agree on GT4 and GT4 RS - it's at the 'why bother' point when you can have the bigger and better sister for not alot more)
I've been on a run before with a diablo 6.0 and a murcie. On a mountain pass a brave driver in a GTI clubsport is faster.I have not driven, never mind sat in, a Ferrari.
Even if I had the money, it just feels too exotic to be driven on most SA roads. Same can be said of Lamborghini sports cars too.
Would be keen to know if we have a Ferrari/Lambo owner on this forum and how they drive their cars and in what conditions.
Never driven one though! Have sat in a few stationary ones. They're pretty incredible cars.I have not driven, never mind sat in, a Ferrari.

I guess that is why Porsche (GTx cars and even the more humble models) is so popular - it melds VW drivability with supercar thrills.I've been on a run before with a diablo 6.0 and a murcie. On a mountain pass a brave driver in a GTI clubsport is faster.
Obviously when the bends become sweepers the lambo *pulls* though.
Can't imagine using something that exotic even semi-frequently, not even just in SA. Anywhere!
Reliability, ease of maintaining. Guys have watched tavarish etc and just don't realise how much more difficult (and expensive) running a big V12 italian super car vs (say) a 911 is. It's night and day.I guess that is why Porsche (GTx cars and even the more humble models) is so popular - it melds VW drivability with supercar thrills.
