So got caught in that hectic storm in Centurion on the way home on Friday. Drove between 60-80km/h, and there were 5 accidents on the way home. One that happened in front of us on the highway just before John Vorster off-ramp.
The car managed the heavily water logged roads fine, felt confident enough, however did also alter my driving (unlike so many other people on the road

) due to the weather.
On Saturday I took my son for a drive, not too far, maybe 15kms and did some straight line driving and pushed it on the bends where I could; safe and within limits.
My initial impressions are that the car is very comfortable, surprisingly so. Even my wife commented on this. It’s not too bad to get in and out, no contorting required. In fact similar to the Supra.
Doors are nice and light, and luckily we used to the long 2 door challenges, but I always park away from other people no matter what car I’m in.
Not the fastest car, but boy does she handle. I know Mr_Y mentioned that the Cayman makes you feel like a much better driver and you can push those limits and the car keeps you honest.
The sound from the 3.4l, flat six is just intoxicating, best sounding car I’ve owned by far. Having the engine behind you is interesting, you can literally hear the mechanisms of the gears, etc. Love this!
Hoping to do a nice drive this Wednesday on the public holiday, and will share more feedback.
Car needed a wash, and took it to my mates car wash. Also will require a detail and some paint correction, as there are some swirl marks. Once this is done, will add PPF.
