My daughtet has been using the E46 328i i bought and has decided that the corrolla can go. My question is the car is on 300k but runs like brand new but im assume the cats will be restrictive/blocked by now.

I have never decatted a car, is it recommended and how difficult a job. I do not want to change the exhaust i like how refined it is.

If you do remove, ask them to give it to you to take home. You may not like how the car end up and may even want to put it back. After a few weeks and you good with it remove, then you can sell it. Just saying so you know.

If the car runs well, why do you want to remove it? Catalytic converters remove toxic gas from your exhaust, thereby protecting the environment and the wellbeing of the younger generation.

My car is decatted and I love how it sounds  should also liberate a little more power, but I'd say hardly noticeable at lower revs...

I have 2x 330s with cats and stock exhaust. I like how it sounds. Many I know wants louder.

There is one however decatted. Its louder, but not my preference. Also, if the exhaust points to a wall, that wall gets black spots, while the car is warming up. Fine once at temperature.

Thats what i want to find out , what are the pros and cons of removing it because right now the car with exception of the ps pump is perfect.

Im just assuming with 300k it would be restrictive, off the line the car is not as quick as i would have thought but then again it is an auto but once on the move she really picks uo her skirt and flys.

Thanks fuel consumption is 9l with heavy peak hour traffic which I think is acceptable given the engine size. Oil level hasnt dropped a bit in the 700km it has done this week.

Thanks guys will ignore my itchy fingers.
