Wanted: XBox series X

Forza Motorsport is now available but my XBox is not able to play it. Need to upgrade to XBox series X. Was wondering where to get the best deal as i want to upgrade my Logitec steering wheel as well. Any gamer who wants to sell his XBox series X or can point me to the best deal on the market today? Was also wondering if i should maybe wait for Black Friday specials? Do not want to go wait in line for half the night as i do not feel up to it. Is it true that one can buy Black Friday Specials on line?

I think you mean Xbox Series S

The Series S is kind of limited and does not offer much saving compared to the Series X.

The last 2 Black Fridays only saw the Series S go on special for between R3.5k - R4.2k, whilst the Series X seems be fixed at R12k.

You should be able to pick up a Series X from the forums (Carbonite and or Mybroadband) for around R8k.

nb. if they are less than a year old - Microsoft holds the warranty and you can access this online with the serial number.

Forza Motorsport is in an incredibly broken state. I play on PC and the game is essentially unfinished. Console reports are equally dire.

I wouldn't rush to play it. Wait for Turn10 to patch it first.

For context the overall rating on Steam is sitting around 41%

I don't have the missing track texture issue but have several others - poor & inconsistent perf, failure to save progression, lighting artifacts, shader compilation on each startup, terrible AI drivers, erratic penalties etc etc.

Wow! Seems the right thing to do is to wait a few months. Know too little about to try and fix problems myself. Think i'll wait a while. Would appreciate it if you regular players of the game could update progress on this forum please.

Stick to PC (with gamepass) or current gen Xbox series (X or S). I’ve seen some deals on Facebook marketplace (R8k-R9k) for the X and (R4k-R4.5k) for the S.

From most accounts the Xbox series consoles have been fairly reliable with no major failures like experienced in older generations. While it would be best to get something with remaining warranty it would be low risk to get a something without warranty.

Really annoying that you can't increase the OEM wheel size on Motorsport, only on Horizon. I hope this can be done on the new one..

I picked up my series S new during last years black friday for R4k. Haven't felt like I got shortchanged getting the S over the X so I'd say find an S rather

Well Forza Motorsport is 100 gigs on the series s - so there is only space for another 2 or 3 games.
pretty much the only reason I don't recommend the series s, however there is a new "black" version which comes with 1TB of storage

Got the Forza M/s and am quite pleased with the game. Been playing for more than a week now and am enjoying myself. Have some small issues with the saving of modifications to the cars some times but nothing major. I must admit it could be due to my Logitec steering wheel and pedals which are on its last legs. Some times the acceleration is very sluggish with the abs lights flashing on the screen when i try to accelerate but i ascribe that to the pedals being very well used. Have opened up the pedals and swopped the clutch pedal for the accelerator pedal which helped for quite a while but now they are acting up again. Will probably get a new steering wheel setup soon. Was thinking of getting the Logitec 923 this time.

The Moza R3 should be available soon. I would suggest going direct drive rather than spending that much on gear driven for similar money.
