My '17 330d

Hi Guys,

A bit of an overdue post... As some may know I had been looking at "big" engine F30s for a while (B58 or N57 and maaaaybe M3), however I could never justify the premium that all car dealers and even private sellers were asking for fairly normal cars.

Eventually managed to come across the new daily at BMW SMG Durban, the end price was reasonably acceptable given the market values and most importantly the car had a good history and decent mileage (a seemingly difficult balance to find with a 330d). One previous owner who purchased from and traded the car in at the same dealership. I bought it at 77000kms in June. I will spare the forum from the usual 3 pages of options and just say that it's typical 330d F30 spec. Melbourne Red Metallic would not be my first choice in colour but in a well maintained state it's certainly grown on me (Yes I realize the irony here).

I enjoyed the clean stock look for a while, then decided to start with some light cosmetic mods, contacted @FiRi@Rennzport about a CS style rear spoiler and black 330d rear badge, fitment and quality were perfect as usual.

Wanted a slightly different look up front, still quite undecided on the final outcome but I managed to find a set of splitters basically free which will do nicely for now.

Nice one bru, looks a beaut in red! Here's to many miles of smiles (I hope)...

You seemingly like that colour A LOT.. Where's the 20d LCi thread? :p

Stunning car! MR slaps in the right light, AND you got heated seats. That's definitely rare in 30d and F30.
Congrats!

Looks really well taken care of. Congrats and good luck with the mods. Hardly see these in red so nice to be a bit unique!

Thanks guys!

Forgot to mention, there were a few small issues with the car that I picked up during the initial viewing, these were attended to by SMG with no fuss which is rare to see these days...

1. Steering rack shims were fitted
2. Both engine mounts replaced
3. All four wheels refurbished at wheel collision
4. New set of Pirelli PZero RFTs all round (Very impressive tyre BTW, really enjoying them)
5. New set of rubber mats

This is the second car purchased from this dealership and the last experience was much the same.
