Aircon switches on by itself

Hi Guys

Got a bit of a strange situation, the aircon in my car turns on by itself, if I switch it off, it turns on a few seconds later..

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Had this sort of similar problem some years back with my wifes Astra. Opel were really baffled as well and spent some time with a donor car swooping our parts etc and we finally found out that it was linked to the wiring on the initial tracker device that was removed by previous owner. So it was electrical related or earthing. Depends were u take it, if its a dealer they will do a text book approach and identify the control unit etc. to be replaced before doing any fault finding like a old school electrician.

I would start with some basic fault finding, did u do any work on the car etc and start there before checking bigger items and replacements.

Thanks for the reply, only started doing it today, I have the car for the past two years and never had this issue. Will get it checked by a bud whos runs an aircon repair and fitment center, thanks.

Not sure lol, also had a slight leak near the downpipe, sent to exhaust shop to fix and after that the aircon never misbehaved lol...

@Naz 235 , check the coolant bottle for any traces of oil
