@kingr How has your experience been thus far with the B48?

I have recently started toying with the idea of a F56 JCW (for the wife), I hear some of the early models had a recall for a crankshaft bearing issue (supposedly the 2014/2015 models), but I've heard of 2017 year models being part of the recall - any insight?

Heyta. Our model is a 2020, touch wood no mechanical issues so far. I’m not tracking known issues with the drivetrain, mainly because it’s on plan. I do feel the car is somewhat of a parts bin special, everything feels slightly inferior compared to a BMW. Brake pads in the front were done @ 20k km, car needed new coolant @ 25k km. The one boot shock is done. Makes a weird knocking sound on the suspension when going mildly fast over a speed bump. She’s heavy in town 450km off a full tank and 750km off the tank on the long road. Our model doesn’t have launch control, so I lost every race one Sunday at the Rock. Nice little car, but we won’t buy Mini again.

I do feel the jcw’s are worth a look though.
