These cars have a condition based service schedule, so basically the car tells you what it needs done and when.

I generally prefer to do a full service when a get a new car regardless of the service history. This way I know I'm starting on a 'clean slate' as it would be and I can then do the periodic maintenance accordingly. Personally I prefer more frequent oil changes than what the service interval suggests.

The n52 is quite a bulletproof motor. It might be a good idea to clean the vanos solenoids as well as the vanos solenoid filters when doing the oil change.

So never timing chain or belt or water pump of stuff like that? As a guy told me it might need a major service costing me 10k....thus im asking here if it is true or not...

You'll probably only know whether those are needing repair when actually driving the car.

Depending on the state of the oil you might want to check your oil non return valves as well.

I have the same engine in my 2.5si E85.
You should do a service now regardless of how well the car was previously maintained, unless service was done in the last 6 months with a reputable mechanic.
I would advise taking the car to an independent and reputable mechanic for a full run down check and he can advise on what items are High, Medium and Low level priority.
You can then see what you can afford to do now and what can be done later.
Very difficult to go on forum advice without actually inspecting the car..

Preventative maintenance is never cheap, but these motors are relatively reliable if one invests a bit in that maintenance.
