Hi Guys

How long will an F30 Battery last without it being started?
Should I rather disconnect the battery if it wont be started for +/- 4 months?

The Battery was replaced with a brand new BMW AGM battery at the end of 2020 and has never given me an issues so is fairly strong.

Il fill the tank up and give the tyres some cushioning, are there any other things I should do?

Also any tips on re starting her after this time will be appreciated

Best not to fill the tank, use a fuel stabliser, I would definitely disconnect the battery if it is going to be 4 months and you cannot get a trickle charger going. Also can you access the boot with the power off ? If not then maybe dont forget to not close it all the way.

Agreed, tie a cloth around the boot latch so it doesn't close completely and disconnect the battery.

I had my E46 parked for around 8 months. I disconnected the battery, topped up the fuel tank (didn't know this was bad practice as it was less than 12 months), put the car on jack stands and used a car cover. Came back and fired up on the first swing.

I would park on sand bags or similar, disconnect the battery and put a cloth into the boot where the latch goes. 4 months isn't that long, so you'll be fine.

Thanks guys, I think il disconnect the battery

I also found out that the exhaust tips should be covered so no creatures can get in there and the wiper blades should be lifted up slightly as the rubbers perish if rested on the windscreen for long periods of time without being used.
