discussion Keep the wheels or not?

Sell the wheels or put into storage for when u want to sell - but then u might as well sell now and buy another set later and score the storage space
Looks like 90% of the wheels available on the current models. Nothing special. I'm certainly not a fan of most of these newer style wheels.

Get the 19s, drive anywhere and be happy.

I think whenever you need to sell, there will be plenty of 20/21inch wheels available to purchase as the classifieds are currently inundated with G series wheels.

However, if you have the space to keep the 21s in storage by all means do so. Will save you the search later on.

A few users on Xbimmers that have decided to go 18s on G01 X3 M40i's with M Sport brakes and love the ride/practicality:

Update. So BMW has a brand new set available that they're willing to swap. Obviously he pointed out that the trade in value of the car will be affected (for me not a concern really since 1) I keep my cars forever (or at least a very long time lol) 2) I don't trade in, I sell privately

Thoughts on this?

Swap it!

Everyone telling you to keep the 21s are not going to help you on the side of the road in the Kruger while the lions are watching you. :D

Convenient how there are no full pics of how these wheels look on the car :ROFLMAO:

my 2c...21s ftw, but for frequent offroading, It makes sense to get smaller rims.

I would not be keen to fit 18s with Msport brakes as per the picture... One stone bouncing into the wheel and you are not going to have a good time!

Consider the OEM msport 19 inch wheels ...should be practical (for your needs) whilst not ruining the look of the car.

Not sure what you mean . I uploaded pics from the front and rear of the car showing the wheels?

I say do it.
In the future when you sell, the state of roads in SA will be so bad that people will demand smaller rims on these cars.
