I haven't spoken to them as yet but I'll find out and see what they say

I've been getting quotes for the software from all different tuners in JHB and also checking what software they use and whose recommending who

I know here on the forum xcede is usually the go to for software

I suppose it all depends on what you are looking for out of the software, I only want durability, not performance. So if they do the downpipe, EGR & flaps I just want those "deleted" from the software. No performance, torque, power increases.

UPDATE - Booking made for gearbox service at ZF for Jan 2023.

Now to start understanding this whole story around EGR & CAT, so some insights would be appreciated as I am not into mods at all just into reliability & economy.

As said she has 186k km on the clock and I have noticed a slight power drop, but will see what happens once the g'box is done as that is also not as smooth as I have become used too.

Also do not fully understand the logic/need behind a replacement downpipe.

Neither the story around the swirl flaps/throttle body?

Would really appreciate some input from those who have done these on this vehicle, the reasons and the outcome?

Had the service done today. R6k and took an hour.

Box feels a lot smoother, but that might just be the placebo effect.

Downpipe and software tomorrow.

ZF also did a full diagnostics, which is nice.

Great to hear, looking forward to get mine done, ZF told me they need the car for two days....

What milage do you have on the clock?

Where are you based?

IF CT I am curious to who you are using for downpipe etc, as I am still researching option in CT

Not sure why they would need 2 days, it literally took less than 60 minutes.

185k on the clock.

In Pta, used ZF in Germiston today and visiting Xcede tomorrow.

We had the pleasure of working on Rainier's F34 320d which was in for our Stainless Steel downpipe and Stage 2 ecu tune today.

The following was disabled via the ecu map:

Vmax
CAT
EGR
Swirl - flaps
Auto Start/Stop

Gains below, Base dyno run was done with downpipe already installed.

Nice. Thanks for the call Juvan.

Now just to hear from Renier, when he stops driving around with all that torque

Hey Rainier, what is your overall impression of these upgrades?
The power and torque is much better and there is less turbo lag. I also appreciate the disabling of the emission systems.

The downpipe is quite audible under acceleration - I like it.

Car is more responsive and drivable - it was money well spent.
