Good day

My 323i E90 LCI 2011 has these faults, below.
What could be wrong? The workshop wants to replace the ECU and warranty is refusing indicating that there is no evidence that the ECU is faulty.

2AA9 DME: Variable Intake System, Servomotor 2: Activation 2FA4 DME: Incorrect Data Record

Please assist fellow Bemers....

Is the car idling unevenly? Had a friend who's car was idling up and down the rev counter and after changing the vanos solenoids it was discovered the tappet cover packing was leaking causing the uneven idling. His car was also E90 323i but pre facelift.

Hi,
When cold it revs up and down like crazy.

Problem is the DISA system under the intake.
Remove intake and replace.
Why would you even leave it with the same tech when clearly they are stabbing in the dark.

Sounds to me much like a leaking tappet cover gasket or the oil cap may not be sealing or the dip stick leaks air. "Cheap" fix if that is the case

The code indicates a disa issue what makes you think it is a head cover issue or an oil cap issue or a dipstick issue
