Best mobile for BMW

Don't see why both won't work equally good. Personally I use a Samsung. I use the My BMW app on it and don't have any complaints.

I know that BMW were mainly iPhone based for advanced connectivity - ie. Apple carplay instead of Android Auto

Not sure if that changed recently.

If Samsungs Digital key worked in South Africa I then would also go for Samsung

Yeah, that's right. I will personally always opt for iPhone products. But I think both iPhone and Samsung are great.
