E92 M3 DCT Service

Hi All,

Anyone done a DCT service on their E92 M3?

I am thinking of doing this as preventative maintenance but this is supposedly a lifetime item.

I have no issues with the gearbox, runs smoothly with no leaks etc but with the car being supercharged, I'm thinking I should do this? Thoughts?

Thanks,
Euston

It was done on my car about a year before I bought it. As far as I know, it involves changing the oil, the filter and the gasket.

My opinion would be fresh oils in something mechanical can’t be a bad thing, so I’d look into it if I were you.

When i had my E92 335i, i serviced the DCT at JSN Bryanston.
Quinton took charge of the task, and it was carried out quickly and professionally.
Can remember the cost, but it would be irrelevant now as things would of increased in the 2.5yrs its been. plus i think i got a major discount.

This was something i preferred the dealer to do, so that i had the manufacturer warranty in place after the job was done to cater for any issues after the fact, such as leaky gasket, or gearbox issues of any kind.

Awesome, dont let them bullshit you about special oil coz its an M3, or different parts etc, the DCT is the same DCT in all DCT cars, so exact same parts and oil used.
For track use, like in the M3 GTS, they would sometimes jack the car up on one side to allow the gearbox to be overfilled with 1lt of extra oil, but not needed for our cars here.

@osiris you might wanna get in touch here also as you want to do your DCT service soon too.

Gave them a call, seems like a pretty expensive exercise but rather just get it sorted.
Seems like R9.5k all in, for 2 filters, pan, 6l of oil and new plug(s).
Thinking I'll just get the diff fluids changed as well whilst they doing the refresh of the DCT.

Did the DCT, diff and brake fluid service on the car. Worked out to circa 18k all in, which was predominantly the gearbox for circa R12.5k. Well worth it for peace of mind, and did notice the diff is less "jerky" for lack of a better descriptor.

I had mine done in April this year @ TuneTech for about R15k. It shifts beautifully.
