Unfortunate situation bud...in my opinion, your best course of action would be to communicate with the CPT dealer, and get them to agree to have one of the KZN branches to diagnose the car.

Alternatively, return the car:(.

You spent your hard earned monies to get your Dream car, these kind of gremlins is only going to leave a sour taste...and given recent comments...dealers dont like to help out in a hurry. Customer service has taken a major dip...especially in KZN.

In general, most guys trade-in tuned cars when there is an issue...not saying that this is 100% the case here.
Yeah 4 years of hard saving not really the best situation to be in but i have faith somehow it will go in my favor if they flash it back to stock ill be fine with it (they can't really not help me because they technically didn't disclose it was flashed to begin with)

It does make sense to what you saying above, just waiting for my salesman to get back to me i rather send it today and get it sorted out, also with the carly Bluetooth how much is it?
I managed to get the adapter for R700 and the software was R49 dollars for the year. But if you go onto carly website, the dongle and software licence is R59 dollars, all inclusive.

I'm assuming international shipping?
Spoke to my salesman he made a appointment with one of the guys at a rmi workshop to take a look at it

Not sure about it he mentioned since the car is not on a plan smg doesn't look at it, and made a appointment with this person nearby at 8am.
Had a similar response from bmw used cars earlier this year. Their response was that its not under plan, so it's too expensive to have bmw internally check the car out.
Apparently, all used cars aren't looked at by bmw but at some RMI...

Yes 100% exact response my salesman gave me, however if i feel uneasy I'll take it elsewhere

Hey everyone just a update

They ran a scan the car is clean no issues

Turns out it was my fault

Because the car is tuned The car is tuned to deliver a certain boost at a certain rpm and when i am changing manually its picking up an incorrect request at the rpm and throwing the error

So if i want to use the paddle shifters have to take out the tune, which i don't really want to right now

Thank you to the community for all your input on this matter greatly appreciated

Two issues I have with this bud:

1. Since SMG made arrangements, they could have told the workshop to give you the all clear and that BS tune story.
2. A tune that prevents you from changing manually is obviously not healthy for the car.

Thanks for the advice gents
I will get it removed and get a BM3 tune perhaps , it's hard to tell what the guys at colab did to the car

Anyone has recommendations for tuners in durban that are safe (not really looking for a drag car just a little oomph)

At the moment she makes 260kw 599nm

I was with the RMI mech when he ran the diagnostic (nice chap) he showed me what he meant, and i genuinely believe its me because I'm shifting way early to save of fuel for the shorter runs

Just go MHD with an XHP TCU tune...

*Edit, you can also use the MHD flash tool to flash the car to stock yourself... And then test if the issue is still there.
