Thanks mate ill check them out did you grab yours from them?
Yup I did... Always great service from them. You will be able to flash to stock without purchasing an MHD license, but will obviously need one if you plan on using their files.

I was with the RMI mech when he ran the diagnostic (nice chap) he showed me what he meant, and i genuinely believe its me because I'm shifting way early to save of fuel for the shorter runs
Definitely not you bud, the figures in my signature are made on a PWG x35i engine with only a Downpipe and flash on a custom tune...your car making 260/599 is not very high either however no matter how much power it puts down, if not done safely it doesnt matter at all.

I would say that if you have enough knowledge and are comfortable with flashing your car and dealing with any hiccups with the engine then go ahead and get plug n ply and enjoy. If you do not and just want a reliable tune and don't want to fiddle with it...then go get a custom tune...it will be tuned to the way the car is right now. Also, ensure maintenance on the car is done...do a thorough check before loading another tune cause you have no idea right now what collateral damage you might incur due to the current tune. Thereafter go get a custom tune done when you happy that the car is healthy. Rather safe than sorry...I would say contact Xcede @Sherwin@xcede has done these cars for ages and in every release and platform these engines ran in.

Advised him via whatsapp to get SMG to flash the car back to stock and test if the issue still persists... if it does then they need to troubleshoot further.

Knowing BMW dealerships, they will try to blame the issue on him getting the car flashed somewhere else.

Yeah true Kyle, very true! That is a better way to sort it out!

As mentioned above ask SMG to get the car flashed back to stock at a bmw dealer in Durban. If all fails take it to bmw yourself and pay the 1 hour labour. See if the issue is fixed.

That feedback given sounds BS to me. Dont let anyone apart from bmw touch that car. They will dispute any further issues once a 3rd party touchs it.

Hi everyone just a update,
The first rmi workshop is absolutely useless and he behaves in a manner like I'm doing him a favor so if yourll can avoid him.

I went there after to Colab Tuning they ended up finding the fault (it was suspected to be the gearbox but everything was perfect it was something called the power distribution block/module) I'm able to use the car just don't use manual mode until its fixed

Let smg have a piece of my mind and long story short the dealership will be covering costs for this.

Glad the dealership is carrying the costs. Pity you had to spend your time doing their job. That other story was BS anyway. Enjoy the car
