It will surely be 3M+ considering the M2 CS and M5 CS pricing

An M3 CSL would most certainly be on my shopping list - grilles and all...
Pretty sure it'll be more like R3.5-4m levels. The base car with some options is already north of R2m by a distance. Pretty sure it'll be hideous but rapid. The interiors on these is good though, must give it that, had a chance to peek around one at the M day in CPT.

im a big fan of the G80/82 series of chassis,
I think the big grilles are aggressive and an evolution of the brand.

The car itself with all the different extras available really comes to the forefront of the pack.
No doubt the CSL will be a hit.

Knocking on the door of the 911 GT3 at that level...

Or, is the Cayman GT4 RS a purer competitor?

Preparing to stir the pot....:)

Hardly stirring the pot. I've gotten some hate before but I'll say it again, buying an M4 now at the same price as a 911C is pretty much "I don't care about money" levels of commitment to the brand.

Even if this does come in at 3m flat - that's pretty much what a 911GT3 will run. At closer to R4m you're likely entering 992 GT3 RS territory - it's hard to see this being better from a coolness POV, let alone from a speed POV (around a track at least). R2.8m or so gets you a kitted GT4RS (if you can get an allocation...) Taking any BMW over that requires mad BMW commitment...
