Greetings fanatics

i know this has been asked a numerous amount of times.

my Motor plan is due to expire in march , I'm not sure whether i should extend it for +-24k or should i go for an aftermarket warranty/service plan.

the car is currently on 65000km

any advice would be appreciated.

thanks

i took aftermarket unlimited 2 year cover with The Engine Room (Motorite) before my motorplan expired. Had one claim so far and no issues. Was about 15k once off. Just note its only an option if your car is still on motorplan and the 2 years kicks in on the date your motorplan expires.

I got my m135i with innovation group and never a days issue. I claimed twice I think in 2 years
i had a look at it , it doesnt seem to cover alot in terms of what they pay out.

i saw that BMW offers something similar but whats your thoughts on that?

dont bother, these cars have issues that warranty wont cover mostly. anyway, my budget came to around R15k max to get my car oil leak free, all gaskets done and new valve cover. if i did all at once i would've saved on labour and would've been cheaper but...it was worth it. rest is mods, fuel and now Eth. if your car drives well, you take care if it then dont stress. i had innovation warranty, didnt use it once...

So true dude, my car is a PWG so has its fair share of nonsense on that engine that you have to do...and I got my work done at the357 and I feel the price and quality with the work done is impeccable. R24k once off for maintenance is much better than yearly and you still get to ask someone to give you the money when shit goes wrong only to find out, its wear and tear and something. Buy Carly and the dongle, use it to read your codes...buy the parts and get it sorted by a trusted joint and I feel you will be happier bud. You know the car well, you know the fitment quality and people and done and dusted within your control and timeframes.
