M4 DSC turned off yet not off

Went to the skidpan this weekend with my F82, Turned DSC off (yip the 5 seconds hold the button) screen shows DSC deactivated. Yet every time the wheels start to spin the car shudders violently i.e.: like traction is being trying to find grip again. Tried to turning on and off even setting it to the M2 button in the menu no luck either.

All settings in Sport+, Manual drive

Had nobody experienced something like this before or have any advise?

Is it not wheel hop?

With wet roads and TC all the way off I get rear wheel hop. They first thought it was bushes. They replaced these but I still get it but not as rough.

With wheelhop I should feel something off when going around the track also?
What did yours feel like?

Round track it’s fine. In motion it grips and hooks. Wheel hop for me is only on wet cold tyres and on pull off. Mostly in 1st sometimes 2nd.

i also have terrible understeer shudder sliding around the skid pan. Even though the rear is lose the fronts still push wide and shudder.?

I think BMW realized there are more M4's in the scrap yard now than on the road so they trying their level best to keep some around so they forcing some safety features for all the morons trying to do donuts in the parking lot or intersections who are writing them off non stop.

Definitely understeer shudder.

Apply less steering angle when you hear this and carry less sor use less throttle.
On the skid pan your quickest time will be when you do a run without hearing this. On that limit.

slower is quicker. I’ve never been quicker on the skid pan trying to oversteer round cones or trying to use handbrake. (I’m not skilled enough )

An update on the issue.
Apprantly the was a techinical bulletin on this. Some parts replaced at the rear wheels. Now I even managed to get wheel spin even at 60kph.

Hi ,i too battle with wheel hop, M4 .
Do you know what was done, all bushings and also tyres were checked by BMW .
No faults. Car does hook up better when tyres are warm. Terrible most times when wanted to pull away hard on 1st and into 2nd gear.

Not exaclty sure have nitseen the items replaced. But they said it was a known issue as there was a technical bulletin but only to replace it client complains.

On my M4 50k km on the clock, bmw changed the diff oil.

Hi, it did not help, also im.starting to think that tyre temps and road surface plays a huge role, mh prob is that non of my other cars had an issue like this.
Drove th cat today after few day, although no hard take off, th car did nt hop or slide around,
Was abt 32 deg in durbs!..

Similar issue I'm having on my e92 335i so far I replaced the guibo and the prop hanger.. and still the same issue.. I'm thinking it could be the tyres.. when I replace tyres I will update in this thread.. what happens to my car is when I shift from 1st to 2nd gear it shudders violently.. I'm really hoping it's the rear tyres

Hi, i had two different sets off tyres on my 335i. Nothing expensive, few years back.
Car was tuned ,with meth,making about 320wkw and 700nm. Absolutely no wheel hop, never pay much attention to tyre pressures, was a car i hardly drove.
M4 drives me mad because its given at the care ,tyres are in excellent condition originally BMW
Still cant pull off hard from a stop
