Hi All

I assume my car has the GM6 box and I am approaching 100k kms I want to do the gearbox service as a preventative measure. Does ZF service these GM boxes as well?

If not are there any recommendations in the Durban area to have this done

There is no longer a ZF service branch in durban, and ZF does not service GM boxes.

ZF in Cape Town sourced the necessary components and consumables and serviced my GM6. It was a bit costly compared to the ZF bill, but it was done.

Gearbox GA6L45R is the GM sourced unit.
Service kit is about R1800 with oil with OEM level brands , last one was Meyle filter kit and SWAG oil , the labour is about R750 to R1000 at a RMI place.​
