Howzit everyone.

I finally decided to purchase a BMW, I had some German cars before, the Audi A3 1.8T Stage 2, and Golf 7R, the golf was stage 3 and made good power but I used it as a daily and unfortunately it kept breaking sensors, so was a huge monthly cost at the end of the day.

Sold that and bought the 2019 Renault Megane RS 280 Cup, this being my second Megane RS I thought I will stick with this one as it is a brilliant car. but I saw the new 1 series and I just had to have one, and after the test drive I knew that I will not be happy without a BMW in my life

So I will be taking delivery of my new 2021 128ti on Friday 🤙💪🕺

Will post some pics after I take delivery.

Welcome.
From what I read and watched, the 128ti is how VW should have made the new GTI 8.
Seeing that you have FWD history (the 7R being a mostly-FWD with that Haldex system ), the 128ti should keep you happy.
Will be keen to hear your views on how this Mini-based BMW compares to your hot VAG exes.

Seems more like an old school GTI in the way it drives. CarWow also noted the wheel spin (and some wheel hop) when sprinting.

That is a good review on the car, I did get the chance to drive it properly and the demo model they had, didn't have any extras added.

Pull away without launch in sport or comfort is good and no wheel spin or wheel hop, I will sure try launch control when I get it, but I do not think the wheel hop can and wheel spin can be any badder than the Megane RS, they claim 5.7sec 0-100 but I have tried and tried on every surface and can not get below 6.5sec.

The interior is solid and well build (that is what attracted me to this car), but I will be sure to drive it properly and post reviews as I go along
