I just purchased a 2001 328i with 62k miles for 600 bucks that had some water damage and the ecu stolen out of it. The guy I got it from said he had all the damaged wires replaced but that I still needed a ews and ecu can I use an ecu from ANY other bmw like 325ci or any m series and do I need the ews from that SAME car or what's up. Would some one please explain to me how to go about this so that I can make sure I get it done right and that I don't waste a bunch of money on stuff I can't use. Please and Thank You. Any advise would be greatly appreciated as I don't know much about bmws or cars in general. Haha...
