Anyone got a F30 over 200 000 km?

Hi all, I am not seeing much of F30's over 200 000 km. Any other F30's over 200 000 km as it seems it's being replaced before that time?

Only saw an E90 over 221 000 km with turbo and steering rack replaced, and an E46 at 441 000 km with turbo, diffuser, steering rack and water pump replaced.

My 2012 F30 320d is currently on almost 210 000 km. Engine is the N47D20c
FSH with BMW dealers. Services on time.

Only issues outside BMW motorplan were the shocks that was replaced at 120 000 km and 3 sets of tyres. Going to change the gearbox and diff oil end of the month.

Brilliant.
Did you extend the motorplan or are you paying for every service and maintenance at BMW?

Took an aftermarket motorplan from Gaurdrisk for 4yrs at R24 000 (2 x R12000 x 2yr intervals) ending in June 2019 offered by Donford BMW. Just paying for the oil services which I save a bit every month for.

Wow that's reassuring to note. My 2013 F30 320d is on 102000kms at the moment out of plan. Oil services at agents. Balance of the service items I buy from BMW and get them done privately. Any noted mileages to have certain preventative maintenance items done?

I have the 6 speed manual but will contact ZF for a gearbox oil change soon.

Going to keep the car for a while so will join the 200000km club at some point.

For me the tyres were the main cost and I need runflats as I drive some long distances.
Also check the shocks as I had to replace all 4 in 1 go when I foolishly decided to drive to the Fish River Canyons in Namibia in sport-mode at 120 000 km.

Nothing else except servicing on time but I have seen other threads of the UK and US that has lots of issues hence me asking about any high mileage F30's in SA as it looks as if I might be the only one in SA with a F30 over 200 000 km that's keeping it :fencelook:

A guy in our department has a 2012 F30 320i auto with 221kkm on it. Fsh at BMW and drives about 10km each day on a sand/dirt road to his house just outside Rustenburg.
So far no issue's which is surprising since he doesn't show much mechanical sympathy.

We providing feedback... My F30 335i is now parked at 93k odd kms... Plan lapsing in 2 weeks, she is off the road, parked for occasional use. After the head blowing and all, I barely drove her. Will see what the future holds for my N55..

@RAArmstrong No need for sarcasm if this is your viewpoint. Seeing this is a post I opened and no one is responding seems to be that no one on this forum has got a F30 past 200 000 km hence me ask to rather close off the thread and then open up another one at a later stage.

If this is something you don't agree with, then just respond back in a respectful way as I would to any other message on this website, even if I don't agree with it.

I would suggest keeping this thread open, as it would be a good repository of information for future reference and can be updated at any time.

There's no need to close it. Thousands of threads eventually stop being answered. They just fall behind but are available for revival by anyone should the topic become relevant once more.

Rather have one old thread that can be followed up on than multiple threads of the same subject to sift through.

Keep on keepin' on

@ VernonD.

I have posted at various times and threads on here regarding my experience with my F25 X3. Engine is identical to yours. 270k km before I (now regretting) traded in on a Ranger 2.2 XLT 2wd

You should have no issues with that car provided you stick to your services as per OBC. I chose to stick with servicing at dealers for all services. Yes the brakes and pads type services aren't cheap but for me doing constant long haul N3 / N1 type runs, the brakes were used at tollgates. So they lasted big mileage.

Enjoy the car.

Not a F30 but a F25 X3 2014 2.0 D

Currently sitting on 127k kms. And not a days hassle with this car.

Doing my own services and brake services. But i think ill eventually get to 200k and still be driving it.

This is quite reassuring and good to hear, would like to purchase a 320D and hold onto her for a long time.

I guess time will tell whether the members here have better luck or whether this is the case with majority of the F30's - I reckon the 320D's are just great cars and pretty reliable.

It' just not the way a forum operates. Thread stays open unless it goes seriously south (ie some for sale threads)
