Guys there is a supertraxx happening :)

We normally all meet up down at the skidpan at about 8:30 - 9.. & then split off to the track whoever wants to do that..

Skidpan

this is a safe environment to test the limits of your car as well as have some awesome sideways fun

there is very very minimal wear & tear to the cars.. Only place I feel it adds wear is at the start if you drop clutch & spin the tires.. also on the pan when you spin out, if you keep the power down & spin the wheels..

I usually go for the whole day, and car, clutch etc has never given any problems..

costs R170 for the whole day.. No safety equipment needed except roadworthy car & everyone wearing seatbelts & NO ALCOHOL allowed
passengers pay R20
R50(I think) for 5 goes..

Track
Costs R350 ??? (I think as I have never done it)
Need to wear long pant long top & Helmet

Hope to see you all there

have done the track, dont laugh now,in a citi golf, jetta mk3 and a bantam and been around as a passenger in a st fiesta.

found the tyres took a beating and had to replace the ones on the bantam a week later.wernt too bad to start of with.

the golf and jetta only tyres, but not bad and the st the brakes went on the last outting, aswell as tyres, but must admit this car was pushed hard the whole day

Well I find that the cars with power, dont have as much fun :) for example there was a EVO there one day.. problem was his turbo kicked in only when he got to the other side of the pan.. so basically he had not much power most the time & then too much when his boost kicked in..

But a lsd would make my 318i even more fun on the skidpan as the open diff, I usually end up spinning the 1 wheel & loosing momentum

yeah I've done it in a BMW with no LSD and it was honestly kinda boring.
I then took my buddy's 325iS around and had an absolute ball hanging the back end out AAAALLLLL day long. I think ghe got a little disjointed because I was handling his car better then he was :biglol:
Then came the stroker!! Ahhh, soooo fun!
N/A all the way. Could access the power when and where necessary to get the car further sideways!

Ahh dammit! I need a car with an LSD for this! I miss it toooooo much!

You just have to give me a headstart!! hehe

I'll give you 2 car lengths - how about that?

Now I'm thinking I might be overestimating my cars abilties... But we'll see :=):

Hey guys, i have a 2004 318i. How much fun can you get out of this? Done the Bmw advanced driving course with e90 330 and i had a ball. I know theres not much effort into spinning the cars but when its not your car, you tend to go crazy. Just a bit worried if i join then something happens and i'm stuck

I have a 2000 318i and I get a full days fun out of it. I find pumping my back tires to 2.5 and fronts to 2 helps with the tail sliding action
