im looking to take my Toyota on the track-
other than the rules (long sleeve and pants, helmet) is there anything else i need to remember?
any advice for a newbie to a track day?

long sleeve, pants and helmet. is all you need. suggestions would be to check your coolant and oil level Sunday morning and not to use the tires you use from monday to friday, because more than likely there'll be no tires left!!

Might also want to change the brake fluid for a race grade brake fluid, or at least that is what I have been told.

thanks-
how do the sessions work? say i only want to do a few laps in the day?
nothing too serious, but just to enjoy a couple laps on a race track?

another quick question? my toyota is due for a service in about 2000km time? would it be advisable to do a service before a track day or after? or does it not matter? keeping in mind my oil is still very clean?

any advice for a "own car" track day virgin.

in the past pitched up ,paid ,did the sessions, and went home,no problems with brake fluid, only tyres,by the third session were finished and i was sliding all over the place so quit before i put it into a wall.

i like to have fun with my car at my pace, and enjoy the day.

Cant wait for tomorrow.. been needing a skidpan fix for a while now...

For the guys who are going on the skidpan, I would suggest same tire pressures all round.. for my E46 I go for 2.5 all round, makes it handle a bit more neutrally..

see some of you guys there at about 9am
