As for the oil sample testing, how much oil is needed and how long will it take to take a sample (not long I imagine, and of course dependent of lift availability).

I'm almost at 200k/km on my 530d and pretty sure I'm beyond an oil service, but would like to have confirmation of such, without having to leave my car there.

Hardus took a sample of about 20ml, took them under 5min. Biggest issue is waiting for the temps drop sufficiently to open the plug

My car went in for a service yesterday. The whole process was quick and easy. There's a definite improvement in the smoothness of the shifts, especially in DS.:clapper:

Thanks ZF service. Nice to meet you Nico. Whole process is quick and professional. All done in less than 3 hours.

Gears feels smoother for sure. Still gonna let it adapt bit. But so far in auto,it feels like butter.

Workshop is very professional and clean. Diagnostic done before changing the oil. Explains to you all the fault and parameters of the read. Such detailed information explained to me.

Just to stop any confusion, the thread you replied on was a special that was run in 2017. The link below refers to the most recent special where the service price is R3000 incl VAT for ZF 6speed/8speed.
