Z4M Coupe – WOW!

Hi Guys,

Just went for a spin in a Z4M Coupe and I drove it back-to-back to a Renault Megane RS, BMW E90 M3 and Porsche Cayman S. I have to say that the Z4M was definitely the most brutal, raw and menacing had me wanting more every time I went near the accelerator. Then I found the sport button and it just made it feel like pure evil... Apologies for exaggeration, but I have never experienced something like that before.

I dead keen to get one now and wanted to read some of the experiences and advice that current and previous Z4M owners have.

BTW – I’ll be using it as a second car.

Just do the CDV delete and enjoy the car even more :) If you're not in plan then removing the cats and rear boxes makes the car sound amazing!

It's the perfect 2nd car.

Thank you very much gents!

It's not in plan anymore and I was wondering if you guys could recommend/ share experiences with decent non-dealership service centres (e.g. SavSpeed)?

And lastly, what are the things I should change/ make sure that it's done immediately (I read somewhere that the VANOS seals and engine mounts?!?)?

I couldn't stop thinking and talking about the car yesterday... I repeat, I have never experienced this before where I'm completely obsessed... Is this what the call ///M Love?

Keep that car well away from savspeed! Axis and myself are the guys you want to take it to for servicing and repairs. Axis do my vanos work as I don't have the tools.

My only recommendations are Gizmo and Axis. Stay clear of Sav and RGM, irrespective of what anyone tells you.

Only reason I'm not recommending tune-tech is that I haven't dealt with them before.

Good luck on your search for a clean one, it will be well worth your while finding a well cared for one.

Cool - thanks for the head's up! I definitely consider Gizmo and Axis.

Just a quick check – the car I saw was at Pinnacle (link below).

Got the service history and it got a brand new clutch just before it went out of plan. The car has 85K on the clock now. Drove it and the gearbox and engine feel strong. The price is a bit high IMO, but going to check with a few dealerships to see what they would pay for this car.

What are your guys thoughts?

If it's a particular white one I'm thinking of then you absolutely have to look at this car.

These cars are relatively trouble free. And will last you a long time in good health if the oil changes are done at half of their recommended 25000km schedule.

Me again...

Guys, need advise on which route I should take. Prices range from R199K - R309K.

My question is the extra money worth it? Is the extra R100K worth getting a newer one with MP?

Or get an older one and load a good warranty on it...

I also cant decided weather to get one under MP or not, will be a weekend car so is it really justifiable to pay 80k +/- jst for MP...
