ssssssshew gents.
i've found 1 in the exact specs i want. but the price is out of reach. so trying to neg on what prices are in the market and what people are selling for.

The others were a red, which is fine, but with red interior and thats just a no.
Then there was 1 which had the right specs, wood dash which can be changed, but the km's were a bit high.
The rest all had non m seats and thats a no, cause i want heated seats.

Black on these cars do look awesome , mine is all black, did the rims , had the light darkened , put a short carbon fiber aerial, changed all the badges to the black and grey ones , my interior is black leather . It is a mission to keep clean , especially now with the water restrictions . Before I use to wash it every 2 weeks.
Even with all the up keep , black would still be my first option.

Check exhaust also for any shitty welding jobs (if you can get it on a ramp) - most of these would have been de-catted by now.

Standard stuff on the interior - does the wear match the mileage etc.

Not sure on the engine/gearbox, the 3.0Si I drove had an even more "jumpy" clutch than the M - if it's still got the CDV then it might be like this? Not sure if it was just the car I drove, but it took 2-3 pull offs before I felt confident in it when I took it for a test.

Also check panel gaps at the front and rear - the bumpers are low and if they took any severe hits the bumper supports and brackets might have cracks/wear in the plastic - this isn't cheap to fix...

Otherwise guys with N52s should step in to comment?

Cooling system (electric cooling pump and hoses);
The plastic strips surrounding the windows tend to 'lift'; and
if you need any backgrounds check on the car, get the VIN and ask our resident blitspatrollie Coisman to have a look.

Coisman has stopped doing checks on cars since stepping down from being an admin...

Good day gents.....

so, i am still on the hunt.
i have come across 2 with m sport seats.
1 has high kms, and doesnt look so lekker.
1 has a c*nt of an owner that doesnt get back and is just annoying.

then there a few with the normal seats.
got family checking 1 in jhb. but the headlights are an issue for me.
need work and have condensation. how big is this issue?
this one has generally what im looking for but normal seats?
i really want 1 with m sport heated seats.
whats the costs of changing to m seats with switches?
does it make a big difference?

though i do hope the 1 that is all spec'd the way i want gets to me asap.

Hi OP, I am pretty sure I saw this car for sale on Auto Trader last week. LoveAtlantic can you confirm if you selling, perhaps the OP can get in contact with you.

Hey guys

How nice to see you guys have a chat about the (non-M) E86 Z4 hardtop. Did you know that BMW produced less than 13 000 3.0Si Coupes between 2006 and 2008?

Since I joined this forum a few years ago (at the time I had a longing for an E28, some days I still do) I bought myself a Midnight Blue 2008 example (reg 08, it was manufactured in late 2007), with a manual box and Individual spec (satin trim, Indiv wheels, piano black dash with champagne leather). Pay no attention to the GP plates on the car pictured below, I now run the car in Cape Town and live in Panorama.

Since I've bought the car it has run flawlessly (it just completed 78 000km), I did have some cosmetic work done and replaced the front bushes. It probably needs a bit more suspension work (she thuds a bit over bumps), but I blame the firm ride largely on the run flats. Although I could have bought a 335i instead I wanted that sweet naturally aspirated throttle response, the sound and of course, the sleek look.

Please feel free to drop me a line if you'd like to have a chat; I have had the car for just under a year so I am not a product expert, but happy to share experiences.

Kind regards

Mike

Not really sure why you so much want heated seats , but generally the heated M sport seats were an option on the 3.0si so there aren't that many around with it.
It would be a straight fit if I remember correctly but good luck finding a set.
with regard to the clutch , yes they all have the CDV so it gets some taking use to, only do the delete once you've mastered it.

Honestly you want this car in a manual, its far more enjoyable..
but each to his own

I can honestly say get it in manual , far more enjoyable to drive . I tested the manual first then a auto a week later and just felt so different . Took the manual the same day.

i found another vehicle in spec. has what i want, dash has a crappy wood trim but can always try get the alu, or get it hydro dipped carbon, or sprayed piano black.
the question is, its an 06, with 152kkm. is this a problem? there are 06's and 07's with 125kkm, so could go with 1 of them, but then they dont have the seats i want.
