Z3 roof rubbers

I wanna replace all the roof rubbers for the Z3.

This will be all the rubbers around the hardtop and doors around the windows.

Where can I get theae from new with out having to sell a kidney ?

If they dont have a profile for you - they can make it up, there is a certain length required in order for them to make it up.

Its an option - if you are out of options, or dont have any yet.

I was going to say if they need a certain length to make it up I will share the cost with you ? I need to do door rubbers as well as in the motor compartment ?

The problem I had was that the rubbers were old and shrunk. Water was getting into the car through the gaps.

I bought this rubber cleaner and moisturiser from pick n pay and gave that a try while looking for new rubbers.

Worked like a charm. Rubber expanded and leak problem solved. Was quickest cheapest fix I ever had.

Ill get the name of the product I used for you.

Thank you I will surely try that. My Z3 is going in this week for a new back window ? Stitching is coming undone so might as well replace the back window while I am at it ? But will definitely try this for the rubbers. If you are looking to change the rubbers we can see what length they need and split the cost ? Just keep it in mind :=):

Im actually thinking again about selling the Z3.

I've been here before and at the end just could not do it.

But now I must have an E30 and the boss at home wont let me have both.

That is expensive ? But we can see maybe our rubbers are interchangeable and have them made up as a batch ?

Thank you very much :bravo: Went to SPAR last night and remembered the pic of the Shield on the shelf ? R 22.95 ? ? ? So I thought Mmmm maybe ? I looked at the gap on my rubber this morning and it was sitting at +-3cm. I thought there is no way . . . . But tried it never the less and what do you know it expanded back. :joy: Great advice and something I will relate on my other Z3 forums as well. I hope you are bringing the Zed to the show and shine on Saturday ? Will be a great place to advertise it if you are still looking to sell it ? :idea:
