Hi Everyone
I am in need of assistance with my 1999 E36 Z3 instrument cluster.
When I got it, the fuel guage did not work, so I took it out the tank, found no sender unit. Managed to get one and put it in. I did not notice that the fuel pump wires were bare, and this shorted on the sender wires, blowing the instrument cluster. I have not been able to find a Z3 cluster, but got another one from an E46. The display, speedo, rev counter all works. There is no batt light, no fuel guage,no heat guage also none of the warning lights come on (traction control, airbag etc.) only the oil, brake pad, and park brake lights come on. Indicator and illumination lights all work.
Any ideas, I do not want to drive without a temp guage. Any help would be appreciated.
