Yellow Transmission light on morning starts

Morning Guys,

Just had a problem this week since monday, my E90 320d LCI Auto has been throwing the amber transmission warning light on morning/cold starts. Which then results to it not wanting to engage into drive.

Monday I had to switch the car off and on again for the warning to go away.
Tuesday it came on for a second and was off by itself
Wednesday(today) - car warmed up and it went away

It never comes on it the evenings when I leave work, and was wondering could this be gearbox service or dying battery?

Car: 2010 BMW e90 320d with 180k km

Our X3 is throwing a drivetrain error when we start in the mornings. Our scans point to a faulty high pressure fuel pump.

There is a 1-way valve on the pump which holds pressure when the motor isn't running. My thinking is the 1-way valve is failing, bleeding off some of the pressure overnight. That makes it a little more difficult to start in the mornings.

I would suggest that you making a booking with ZF and have them test it.

Thanks man, I think I will have to give them a call for this issue.

Does your X3 throw a yellow cog warning light on morning starts?
