Well done to Vinay under INTENSE heat today at ODI running 12.5 twice. The only power mods on the car today were chip & downpipes (which made 4 or 5 peak hp). Average exit was 185, with a best of 187 I believe (pending official results). He also ran 235 on the km. No drag tyres or anything, stock exhaust, stock intake, stock cooler, stock diff, etc. Awesome time considering he had no traction & was going sideways off the line. I reckon we will put some Mickeys on that puppy & put in some meth, raise the octane & make an assault on the low 12's.
I think this proves what our tuning can do. The cars that ran at the last event were everyday tunes with 0.9 bar boost. Those customers came to ODI as they drive on the street, with their runflats, pump fuel, no cooling, no changing of pressures, etc.
The only difference with this car, is because of the downpipes we can be a bit more aggressive with the ignition advance & boost. So it probably peaks around 1.05 bar with a less pronounces taper up top. With the fuelling & advance to accomodate that boost. When we map for the meth, we can crank it a bit more, then I expect it will really sing on the 1/4.
