X5 Towbar

Received a quote from Zambezi for R 7,5K to have the tow bar fitted.

Anyone know of a better price anywhere?

Busy checking for the best option as well for my X3.
My findings so far:
bmw fit the execuhitch - R10000 (R7500 was their price ex labour)
towlink - execuhitch - R7200
Auto pro SX - execuhitch - R5995
Racknroad - thule - R6400
Autotec - bosal - R 4500

Will probably confirm my option by Friday.
Any opinions on the choices?

I will look up what we had fitted. Somethings that you should remember is: the harness is best the OEM affair. That way the trailer is integrated into the digital stability control. So if the trailer starts to sway the DSC will know you have a something plugged in to the harness and respond appropriately.

I am not sure how much that system played a role but we had a trailer flip onto its side and a similar situation has rolled the tow vehicle... we hardly felt anything.
