YIP..... shes in surgery at the moment....

went to go see her at the mechanic now and she is stripped to pieces...

two major problem... fuel injector 4,5,6 is not functioning properly (something to that effect)

and then the turbo is whining and loosing power. Got that looked at and the centre shaft that turns the flaps is moving and hitting the side of the turbo barrell if that makes sense.

so now the repair bill starts.... :flyfun::flyfun::argh::argh::argh:

anyone had these issues before???

Im gonna cry

Excessive play on the turbo impella shaft does happen at times, seeing it on high and low mileage cars.
Why the injectors thou?
Is the veh smoking, if it is the this could also be caused by collapesd turbo bearing, thus causing oil to be drawn into charge lines, then into the intake, then into the cylinders.Aslo check the intercooler for oil contamination.
I would carry out the turbo repair first, clean the intercooler and replace the oil seperator (engine breather).
Then carry out a injector leak off test.

it was a fault code that the machine picked up that they are running over 5...

aparently normaly operating fuel injectors run at 1-3.

What was the symtoms?
Did it happen overnight or was the problem proggresively getting worse over time?
Need more info.....

A leak-off test can be carried out on these injectors.
I would interchange 4,5 an 6 with 1,2 and 3 and then recheck the faults.
Injectors aint cheap to replace or repair...
Not worth putting in used at all

i just bought the vehicle so im not to sure...

but the whinning started getting louder and louder....

only done 2500km since i bought it.

the turbo guys where the turbo is in at the moment say the reason for this can also be that the cat converter was clogged up ??

can this be true?

and the fuel consumption has been quite high... 15.2l/100km

If u getting alot of oil from your turbo into your charge lines, this oil can sometimes reach the air mass meter, which soils the sensor and gives you incorrect readings.
You have got to sort the turbo out first before carrying out any other diagnosis.
Could be a catalytic converter, i have never personally seing one cuasing the turbo to pack up.I have seeing that the engine vent valve, AKA (oil seperator, breather valve) get blocked, this therefore prevents crankcase gases to be recycled as it should.Sits in top of the tappet cover, remove and inspect.

as I sais before, the other problems could all be secondry faults.
Turbo repair first!!!!!!
