X5 3,0d - Anything to look out for?

Hey guys. I found a really neat X5 3.0d with 57k km's on the clock. Its a 2005 model, and I'm properly smitten. It's got the sportpack option with a panaromic roof and black leather interior.

I'm just wondering if you could share your opinions on the car? Anything I should be looking out for? I know tires are DAMN expensive.

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

FYI.
Just had sport pack tyres changes. R15000. For all corners. Hankook Ventus ST. The cheapest tyres I could find were Maxtrek ingens @R10700 fitted.

Rear and front suspension bushes. On the rear it cause the camber to be out of spec. Front causes brake shudder. However, should not be a problem with low kilos.

Great vehicle for long distance family trips.

Make sure of coolant system. Pressure test.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Much appreciated. I'm really stuck with my decisions though....not really sure I want to let my e36 go as I really am loving it. It honestly is the best car I've owned. What to do...what to do.

The X5 I looked at ended up being a Petrol, so for now...I'll keep hunting.

The sunroof can be fixed, normally the link between the front and rear brake, not serious, otherwise excelent cars. Nothing otherwise than a normal BMW, just do the servicings and maintenance as with any car, my 3rd X5 is around the corner !

I've owned my X5 for about 5 years now and roughly cost me close onto 70k to keep it on the road, that been said, I can't replace it with anything of similiar value with teh exisiting spec's.

Happy to provide a full break down of costs and parts...

Not particularly sure of its mechanical make up, but, if your rear is sitting a bit low you will now your self leveling suspension is inactive.

Tyres are very expensive around R25k for a decent tyre
