X5 3.0d 150kw with Siren

My trusty X5 has just blown its turbo. After a hot start in town I noticed smoke when I pulled off and I heard what sounded like a siren. I limped home and will start stripping tomorrow.

I might as well decat the downpipe ( probably just cut and gut if I can't find a off the shelf item ) change the engine mountings at the same time and clean out the inter cooler and EGR valve.

Can anybody recommend the best place to buy a new Garrett and the down pipe?
I guess I may throw in a chip a the same time. I would like to go the Promotech route but I live in the sticks (Queenstown) and have to do the work myself. Given this, what chip tuning plug and play is recommended?

Will post some pics of progress and findings

Cheers

Thanks for the replies guys ...... Love the boutique toilet paper dispenser

Can I assume that the DIY kits are marketed on the Promotech website?

Turbo Direct in Kempton Park! They advertise in the Car magazine. Turbo will be in the region of R9 500 plus the fitment cost. Got excellent service from them when i bought my turbo last year. The couriers picked it up on the Friday afternoon and on Monday morning it was at their (courier's) depot in Cape Town. Delivery cost was about R320 from TD to the depot. I drove from Hermanus to get it.

I just had mine done at Stallion, pricing was very reasonable

Guys, Shop around,

I bought my Garrett, brand new for R5.5k, last year - If only I can remember where in Pretoria.
