Looks like you guys had a blast.

I have a E92 335, witht he sport pack and 19's rims.

I read in one of the treads that 19's an run flats affect the power figures? How does it affect it and why?

Thanks

The 19's are much heavier wheels and runflats are very heavy so they affect the power at the wheels. Its not significant but swopping them can see immediate gains of a few kw on the dyno.

Not necessarily. The trick is the rollers....this is what they call "permissable cheating" on the dyno...its all about weight & traction....find the rims/tyres that provide both...or leave your groceries in the trunk...:excited:

My dillema is my BMW performance 19' rims are lighter than my 17' BMW standard rims...but on the dyno the 17' out perform the 19' same RFTs and generally same tyre conditions...so clearly the (thinner) shape of the tyres on the rollers appear to provide more grip...i will always dyno with the 17' even though my car won't look "nice" @ the dyno day due to that; but will kick ass on the dyno....next time just check the wheels on the rollers 19' seem to hop around more than 17'...grip & traction in between those rollers...druk dit diep in...

Mmmm, I think that might explain my slightly lower dyno results on my 19" rim on 19" non-runflats. But also as George Smooth commented, I was on Total 95 Unleaded and maybe better fuel like BP 95 or Shell would give good results.

There was something wrong with your fuel for sure cause the car pinged on the first run. This automatically makes the rest of the runs not so good as the timing maps automatically self adjusts to a milder map.

The plan was to flash my car live with a 1 bar map but we ran out of time as the dyno was only fixed at 14h00. It wasn't a Chiplogic day but a bmwfanatics GTG so we didn't really invite people in order to make the day more pleasant time wise than having to wait in a line. We tried to avoid competitiveness and at a stage OB didnt even want to run my car.
OB was even kind enough to empty the workshop so we can get nice photos. I feel sorry for the dude that coincidently pitched with his E92 V8 cause he was commenting about Kruzos numbers afterward to his buddies.

Would be keen to run at FRC. Hopefully I can have the bigger turbos on in time. We planning to all go to ODI next time there is a open day so we can get some track time which should be a lot of fun.

Its Stealth135's car. I agree the rims looks awesome and he's got some nice mods inside too.

On my Black E92, i'm toying with between Black and the color below for the 19" BMW Rims. These looks awesome!

dlk001 i think both colours are awesome if you willing to keep your wheels clean and tyres shined then black would look awesome but the dark grey is awesome for a more sleek classy look IMO... but both would look awesome on those 19's of yours!

I am bloody blind. Would have loved to have seen one in real life.

Haha you were running around the whole time George or you would have noticed!

We must all organize another meet for all of us and the remainder of the x35 guys

True, maybe it was all the beers I had. I did notice the hot carbon fin though.

Just a quick update, the chipped N55 is spending two weeks at the coast and if all goes well it will be ready for release after that.
