I need to topup my oil - which oil can I use for the 3.0 X3?

I bought the car at 98000km and it now has 102000km. Service only at 115000km according to the computer, so since it was always serviced at the agents, you reckon thats where I need to get the oil?

Does not have to come from the agents - just try to find the invoice and see what oil they used. Then just go buy the same type anywhere you want (or even at the agents).

dealer says i need 5w30. will go check at motor spares.

If BMW serviced the car, they would have used Castrol Magnatec 5W30 fully synthetic. You can buy it at Midas or the like, or at the BMW spares counter for cheaper than Midas in 1l bottles.

got from the dealers at R86 per litre. Its petronas fully synthetic oil.
