X3 multimedia and phone software

Hi, I have an X3 bought early last year. I have been trying to find out from BMW if there is a) a later version and b) what the new version would include. my phone and multimedia is currently on MX/TX 002.005.021.

Nobody in BMW seems to be able to help me. One of the reasons for this is that I have a BB torch and I cannot see my calendar on console and would be interested in seeing if this is avaialble on a later version of software.

Concerning your problem... I really dont know, but if the dealership you called cant help you, maybe call another dealership, or call head office and tell them your problem.

Does the X3 still have motorplan?? Maybe insist that there is something wrong and have them sort it out. :dunno:

Thanks Coisman, Idid do the head office thing, maybe the angle of something is wrong might trigger them off to psh in all latest software.

I'm not sure that you'll get the exact or any definitive answers here but try this. There is a company in Plattekloof that specializes in all things electronic on BMW's. They are called Combined Electronics. Phone no; 021-930-3549.
I suggest giving them a call and talk to Mike. He'll give you the answers and a quote, if required.
He really is a very helpful and knowledgeable guy. He's done a few jobs for me and though he's prices are a bit high sometimes ( I think) he's workmanship has proved to be first class. Anyway, it doesn't cost to ask.
And no, I do not work for them or have any other interest in the business.

Nope still in limbo, the CT option, combine electronics might be a bit overboard, as this should be a standard service offereb by BMW for vehicles under motor plan. Can't understand why it's such a difficult question.
