X3 front CV boot recommendations

I need to replace both front CV boots.

Any recommendations, thanks

Try your local scrapyard first...thats what i would do. Instead of forking out money on brand new boots for a 2006 model.

Its not that expensive, you can get a kit from goldwagon with clamps and everything needed.... Call them and check price. Yes its labour intensive and not a 5 minute job. if you not DIY savvy with decent tools, get someone to replace it for you.

Which boots are kaput? Inner or outer?

It may be a PITA job, because you may need to remove the driveshafts in order to get the CV joints off.

I did a repair on my rear outer boot in December, had to do it on the car because I couldn’t get the shaft out.

Also check part numbers against the 335i cars, from what I recall they are the same.
