X3 F25 seats

Hi, recently purchased a new x3 m-sport so I have the sport seats. I would like opinions of fellow owners on the comfort of these seats. I have not done a lot of kms yet but initial feel is that the seats are not very comfortable on a longer journey. Anyone else feel that or do I just need to play around till I find that elusive comfortable position. I do miss adjustable lumbar support.
Other than this, great car for a young family.
Look forward to some feedback.

I have the X3 m-sport and enjoy them on long runs, it does take some tinkering to get the right adjustment.

Funny how I had a 318i bog standard and then got the 330 with electric seats and supposedly better bolsters etc. No doubt that the standard seats were more comfy in my mind at least.

Same complaint on my wife's E83 X3, bought some E63 M6 front seats to replace them, they do have adjustable lumbar support, cant wait to fit them.

Possibly E90 M3 seats would fit in your case?

Also, bear in mind that new seats have a break in period, where the leather contours etc are made for your backside.

The other thing to note, is that BMW has tended for some time now to use stiffer foams in the seats. if you see a cross section of the seat, you will find it has alot less foam than the years of old, and more springs etc.

Basically, the comfort quality has deteriorated, they use newer materials which are not necessarily comfort related - think fire resistance, price, open cell/close cell.

the other thing to consider is that the M sport suspension is stiffer, comes with stock RFTs which give a stiffer ride.

All things considered, the above is most likely the reason you are not thrilled about the comfort.

I agree, the sponge used by bmw is quite hard, I noted the difference on the 330i when I fitted recovered/re-sponged sport seats. Difference is night and day.
