Hi There,  Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the source of an oil leak on the M47 engine? The oil seems to be getting blown onto the suspension tower, water bottle, water valves, oil filter housing  etc, basically the top of engine bay on the passenger side.  I thought of the intercooler pipe bottom rubber pipe as it was very oily as well but having cleaned it, it has stayed clean and the spray is back.  The area was basically covered in oil spray as it hadn't been cleaned for a while The water expansion tank get particularly wet.

The chasis below the water tank also had a covering which made me think of the intercooler pipe, but it was on the top so has probably come down from the expansion tank.  Any ideas would be appreciated before i go start stripping parts off and have to put them back on to go get spares.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback.  Are you referring to the actual housing where the filter goes in, or the gasket area by the engine block?

thanks
