Thanks all, much appreciated.

have a couple of questions in regards to BMW's. Not sure if i can post here or if there is a specific section for these.

1. Xdrive, is there any truth that all 4 tires must be replaced at the same time? Or else it may stuff up the drive train of the vehicle. Is there other steps a person can take so that all 4 tires dont have to be replaced at once.

2. Has anyone moved away from run flats? Recommendable? Got pricing for run flats and its ludicrous. Plus, i believe it makes the ride much harsher. Any other suggestions?

3. Heard from a tire dealer that there has been cases whereby insurance companies are refusing to pay out due to the BMW thats covered wasn't running on run flats. Anyone heard of such incidents?

4. Is it possible to remove the current headlights on my X1 and replace them with Angel eye headlights? Is it just a plug and play? Or is there more to it. I believe a BMW has to have angel eye headlights.

Thats all the questions for now. Thanks for the warm welcome again :ty:

Dude, I split your thread from your introduction thread and moved it to X1 Fanatics forum:thumbs:

You can continue with your questions in this thread.

No, on the same axle at least. If they are the same brand, you could probably getaway with one new tyre (100%) and a used one ( above 80%) thread on the left and right on the same axle. Larger variances between the thread could possibly lead to ESP warnings

I haven't on my X1, but without the spare tyre option( right now for me) I will stick with it. Plus i dont expect my wife to change a tyre.

Haven't heard of this, seems far fetched though.

While not exactly plug and play, it is possible. At the very least, you would need the additional wiring harness and code the FRM module. (If its a different FRM unit then you would need that as well.)
