X1 E84 Audio upgrade

Is it just mine or do all the X1's have crap audio systems?
Anyone done any audio upgrades on an X1?
Saw that BAVSOUND have a PnP kit but have to import.

Try googling Alpine audio upgrade, can buy it through Bmw harness and everything included and the sound quality is a huge upgrade. Listen to OBDWorx car and I will probably got this route with my car !

Any idea on the cost of this?
Edit: Never mind, this kit is not available for the X1 yet, just spoke to dealer who confirmed with factory...

Firstly no MP to worry about. I have decided to go for a custom install/upgrade as the OEM (BAVsound, MBQuart etc) are just to expensive.
Besides, imo, the custom install will deliver better audio than the oem upgrade kits.

Not sure yet, but probably Pro Fitment in Bloem...being in the FS i don't have the variety of places that i would like.

I am actually gonna be doing an upgrade in my e82. But not alpine.
Technic on the American forums supplies a harness that will be able to plug into your current harness and allow you to add an amp and speakers to all location. All done without a single OEM cable cut.

My plan in to amp the underseats and put in front components as I bearly have passengers so rear sound is not needed.

I have Sws 8's for underseats but the harness is on back order and availible from end Jan.
