I feel bad for not coming but I have a few bags of old clothing.

I suppose I could always take an hour out of my day.

Would it be fine if I leave not to long after dropping the clothes off?

Thx to everyone that came. Was nice meeting new fanatics, like FR3KLS.

It was a great turn out for a charity event that was created in such short notice (11 days). Thanks Arthur (bmwforlife) for your help organising.

I forgot to count how many cars, was about 14

I second this. Well done to all for pulling it together and for coming out today. Seeing those kids was heart wrenching, but knowing we can make a small difference does help!
To Grant and Arthur, awesome guys, thanks for organising, and to Jandre for representing management!:roflol:
To the MINI guys, was brilliant having you there, I think it should become a stable invite that the MINI guys are invited on all the events we do! Please do check the Franschoek run details on the 4th of August.
To everyone who donated, it restores a bit of faith in human kind,we have so much, they have so little. To see how grateful the nuns were was heart warming.
Grant,I think there were 18 cars in total. And nice stall by the way.....:fencelook::roflol:

:roflol: Morgan. That was the first time I've stalled at a robot, except when I was doing my learners 19 years ago... I always put the car into neutral while sitting at the robots, but this time I forgot cos I turned around to wave goodbye to you lol.
And what a small world, your brother in law being my school classmate

I've posted on the Mini thread, about their run next weekend, if we could join and support them like they did with this run.

You're forgiven for that!
That would be cool if they would let us join, it would be great to have some synergy between the two groups. It really was cool having those awesome little machines there, and FR3KLS Cooper S is stunning.
I am away this week but back in CT on Thursday, so will keep an eye on the thread and see if they do kindly let us join.

Was a really good one today, so inspired I even signed up to the forum LOL!

Thanks to all the organisers. Willing and able to get involved in the charity work on the forum, would love to help. Please just let me know.

I think that it was a great success on short notice.

Thanks also to those that donated, small or large it will make a difference.

Take care!

Welcome to the forum Tertia. Thanks in advance for helping us with future charity events. We must do it at least twice a year, for winter and Christmas.
