Workshop manual

Can someone please point me in the right direction regarding the following:
I am the proud owner of two e46's now and would like to obtain a decent workshop manual and the cable and software to do all the smaller work myself. I saw a guy on Gumtree selling some manuals, are they any good? The 323i i bought the weekend, gave me a nice airbag fault yesterday. Would like to trace and do the fault finding myself if possible.

Do not touch that guy on Gumtree, he will touch your studio.

Seriously though, he is charging people R300 for a copy of BMW TIS (Technical information system) he is doing something very very naughty :nono:

Find yourself a Bentley Manual either in PDF downlaodable format or just buy the book, its a great investment and will save you literally thousands of rands.

I have the Haynes manual, but its not nearly as good as the Bentley.

As far as software goes, I just have a ELMSCAN 5, cost me about R600 from the ELM scan website, and it works the charm.

Thanks a lot Freerider for the warning.
I prefer to have some legal stuff. Will try to get a Bentley and take it from there.
It's real good to have a site like this you know! Having two of these cars i think it's good to have a manual for the things i can do myself.
