Hi guys,

Has any of the Pretoris guys heard of or used Marios Workshop Solutions (Mario Goncalves) in Pretoria West and whats your experience with him. I have been recommended to him and been told he has all the neccessary diagnostic equipment for BMW. He also has years of BMW technician experience behind him.

TIA

Sash, what exactly is it you need done??
I am due for oil service, but its not really for my service. I was given information about a good BMW technician and I wanted to see what the feeling was with the guys on the forum. Although, the analyst in me still compares when I do anything, so I will be phoning around as I was also told about another guy in Randburg( will get his details as well)

The buddy of mine who took his car there, basically supplied a list of issue he wanted looked at ( he also added to it while Mario had the car) and Mario basically sorted everything out first time within a reasonable cost and within a day

Sash, if its JUST for the oil, call BMW...
I paid R860 at Leo Haese Hatfield, that was for the Oil filter, new sump plug washer, the oil, and the labour.
If you take the Oil is like R90 per litre, and my car takes 6.5 litres, then for the filter and labour, thats not a bad price!!
Just SPECIFY they must ONLY do the oil and filter and sump plug, and NOT the air filter, cabin filter, and that stuff. That you can do yourself. :thumb:

Interesting..., I got one quote for R1915 which includes all of what you mentioned above. Will do research on the filter to make sure i can do it on the E60.

Hmmm..., contacted Leo Haese and got quoted R1800 for the oil, oil filter and labour and Club motor fountains R2500 for oil, filter, cabin filter and labour. Thats quite a variance.
