Wood vs Silver

Hey guys,

After having an argument with my cuz. Wanted to find out what you guys prefer.

Silver interior trimming (Beautiful) or
Wood Grain trimming (Yuuuuk)

Personally I feel the wood tones down the sporty modern feel. Getting into a wood grain interior feels like I'm getting into one of those OLD mabenzas (Really old mercs that gran used to drive)

What you guys think?

It's all down to personal preference. I also prefer silver to wood BUT you need to take the colour of the interior into account too. A full beige leather interior goes better with wood trim than silver - with a black leather interior, it's the other way around. However, some people prefer wood trim in black interiors too.

That rich oak finish is not for me-- not in a sport model at least- carbon or brushed aluminium finish please.
Not sure if the younger guys prefer the wood finish - is this an age thing

Silver.. brushed... No wood for me. also feels like an old merc with the wood finish.

I regularly change out trim for piano black... It's a little boring but have done it on two BMW's and have converted matt black to piano black.
The silver is interior colour dependent and the wood is simply IMHO nasty!

Depends on the car.
I know everyone says wood is an old merc thing, but look at how good an E36 interior looks with wood...

In the F30's there's a fine wood trim that I'd take anyday over the silvers . But E46 or E90 silver wins .

Brushed aluminum, piano black or carbon. I think it depends on the model as well. I don't like wood in a 3 series, but it doesn't look too bad in a 5 or 7 although I'd still prefer a non-wood interior.
