Anyone know if the windscreen washer pump still makes a noise after its failed? Mine does, but all of a sudden I have no water coming out, just wanna know if I must buy a new pump or search for a kinked line.

Just might need to be cleaned. Remove the pump from the bottle and check the bottom of the bottle.

Then proceed to check all the pipes between the pump and the windscreen. Also check your nozzles at they could be clogged.

90% of the time, it is not the pump.

As he said.Usually screenwash forms a gunk at the bottom of the washer bottle.Disconnect the pump take the bottle out and rinse it with a hose, make sure the filter at the bottom is clean and water running through it fine and reconnect...should be alright then :thumb:

I had to replace mine on the e46 recently, easy diy. Replacement pump was R250

I had a easy way of finding out if it was the pump or blockage.... i have two one for the front and one for the back on the touring so indeed it was poked and i replaced... mine did still make a noise but did not do anything!

Mine just stopped working today!

No noise coming from the pump at all so should i take the plugs apart and use a 12v tester to see if theres power on the plugs?

Mine also seemed to be misbehaving even after cleaning. Anyway, I stopped at Goldwagen today to check on their pricing. A new replacement pump was R85  Can't vouch for their quality, but at that price, you can't complain either ...

So will be fitting it on later this afternoon or tomorrow.

Looks like the washer pump is toast so going to have to get a new one. Will try Goldwagen in Pinetown to see if they have stock.

The Goldwagen pump for R85.00 is very good.

I had put one of these in my e46 330D and it worked perfectly and was still working after the 6 months owned the car before I sold it.
