Window tint

Ok so i decided that i need the windows tinted on the car before i leave for Durbs on Friday Night.

Only place that can do it this week is Autotec-VTS near Greenstone mall

Anyone heard of this place?

Also, they use a 35% Grey tint which is 100 microns thick. After searching various sites, i think this is the standard for smash and Grab tint.

Any ideas on how this would look on a Black E90? or should i look for something slightly darker?

Advise please - car is booked for Friday morning

Rather speak to these guys, very professional and pricing isn't bad.
They just recently quoted us 1600 for my wifes Audi.

they quoted R2200 and couldn't do it this week

Edit - different branches - different prices.... got quoted R1710 from Sandton branch. Which branch did you call?

i did mine at a sound shop at greenstone mall. Opp the spur. Not sure if they are still there. I paid about R1000 for the e90 with the auto armor certificate.

This is apparently opposite Greenstone Mall. At a complex with builders express. not sure its the same place..... dont really know the area, been there like twice only

I used PG Glass Midrand - and am very happy with the work. They use Llumar tint 100 Microns IIRC.

35% is the darkest legal tint for cars. I used the lighter 50% tint, however, don't think the 35% would be overkill.

Your other option would be to rather buy the tint and have it done in Durban.

Just take a sample into the sun and see if it has a cloudy appearance. I had the X5 done and in full sun it takes on a slightly cloudy appearance.
